Since the dawn of Pinterest we can spend endless hours looking at the most glorious tablescapes, in all honesty I was not aware that the word tablescape existed before Pinterest arrived in my life. The truth is if we created everything pretty we see online we would be broke and Christmas is already an expensive time luckily I have some suggestions on how to dress your table for less, and a few products from Homesense.
Buying a whole load of new glasses may be an unrealistic goal financially but getting a few nice ones and dotting them around the ‘party room’ on a tray will add some glam. My table seats 10 but I do not have 10 of any type of glass, I am not a restaurant after all.
Placing small ornaments on the table coupled with free items such as pine cones will make for a stunning Christmas table. Keep to a simple colour pallet, you can’t really go wrong with gold and white!
You could create a simple centrepiece by using a wreath with a few pillar candles in the middle. Invest in some more coasters as people will need to put their drinks down so they can dance to your awesome Christmas playlist, (I hope you are making an awesome playlist – find one on my book link in the sidebar if you haven’t). The use of a fancy coaster will also add some glamour to your table too. Serving platters & charger plates are an inexpensive way to have a luxe feel on a tight budget.
