A little while ago I bought the most beautiful bag of leather scraps from the wonderful local Hebden Bridge haberdashery Ribbon Circus. Own by my good friend Helen who really makes it more of a happydashery, you see what I did there! This is the first project I made with the scraps and the best news is there are lots of scraps left so I can’t wait to get started on more projects. Whilst I was there I also bought a blank headband base.
First I cut the shapes that I needed to make my arrow. I decided to add a little ribbon to the centre of the red leather, I stitched it onto the centre.
Now I was ready to assemble my arrow. I used my glue gun as the glue set almost instantly and you can use it on the leather surface and the metal headband so I could glue the whole thing together securely. The whole thing was done in less than 10 minutes! I could wear I straight away.
