I am still making alcohol free, thirst quenching summertime drinks. This recipe is also a great way to control the amount of sugar you are drinking also as many premade fizzy drinks are virtually ALL sugar. Not that I don’t love lemons but I am also a huge huge fan of limes, in fact I far prefer them in water to lemon slices. What can be better than homemade lemonade, homemade citrusade of course.
You will need;
3 limes
2 lemons
1ltr fizzy water
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup water
method;
-
Squeeze all of your fruit into a pan, remove any pips that find there way in.
-
Add the juice the sugar and the 1/2 cup tap water and gently heat until the sugar has dissolved. B careful not to let the liquid boil.
-
Let the syrup cool. Once cool pour into a jug, top with fizzy water. Add ice and a little sliced fruit.

Thanks for this Nicolette- I've been loving your drink recipes since I've stopped buying most mass-produced beverages- even the non-fizzy ones can be shockingly full of sugar!
