As I have said before I am not a very boozy person but at Christmas I tend to get boozy and indulgent. I think it is a time for eating and drinking the things you don’t have all year round – that’s what makes them special! The cost of nice liquors is astronomical so I have decided to make some of my own. The added bonus is making stuff yourself is great fun. Decorate the bottle and this would also make a great gift.
you will need;
400ml vodka
4 mars bars
200g good quality melted chocolate
200g good quality melted chocolate
150ml double cream
method;
- Melt the mars bars and chocolate in a double pan.
- When fully melted stir in the cream.
- Pour the vodka into a jug and mix everything together.
- Store in the fridge and always shake the bottle before serving.
Please remember to drink responsibly!

How long will this keep? Does it have to be refrigerated? I am going to try this at the weekend but I don't think I will drink it all at once so I would like to know how to store it! Thank you x

Hello
It is better to keep this in the fridge. When I made this last Christmas it kept for 2 weeks in the fridge with no sore tummys as the alcohol is a preservative.
Hope this helps x

hi in the ingredients you have listed 200g good quality melted chocolate but you have not said when you need this in the recipe. when do you need to put this in? thanx

My fault for being un-clear. You melt the chocolate and the mars bars together
I hope this helps xo

I made this last night for a Christmas gift and it's gone rock hard in the fridge! What went wrong? Thanks

Hello
sorry for the delay I took some time off for Christmas. I am afraid I have not come across this issue ever before. Did it 'melt down' so to speak after being out of the fridge for a while?

So be guaranteed that whatever is said in this is totally fair and to the greatest advantage of vodka. wine clubs
