Blog Birthday Fun

 

It was a cold winters day on the 21st of November 2010 when I first hit the publish button and became a small part of the blogging world. By the end of that week 6 of my family ad friends had logged on, tuned in and read my blog. Since then a lot has happened. My blog has gone through 3, yes 3 re-designs. I learned some html, them I learned a little more.

 

My readership went from my friends and family to around 150,000 readers worldwide every month!

 

I have learned a lot since I first started and now teach courses on blogging and photography for bloggers. I started to share more of myself on the blog. I sadly lost The Rug, the other namesake of the blog my scruffy, often smelly dog. Archie is still with us and sat on my feet as I write. My family is about to grow in December when the arrival of Archie’s little brother and my son happens. I feel lucky that I have this as my job and will be able to continue to work, no maternity leave for the self employed I am afraid!

 

I have been asked to take part in Shape What’s To Come, the What I See Project(just like you), and present tips and recipes on Superscrimpers. I have written magazine articles and recipes and this year started on my first book but all that aside my blog is my first love.

 

My blog has brought me many friends who I now Skype with and even plan to fly to Canada to see in live 4D but I am hungry for more. I really want the month of November to be my blog party and had thought long and hard about how to celebrate. I decided to team up with s group of awesome bloggers to take part in a month of blog post swapping. I write for them, they write for me – you get the idea. So get ready for a host of wonderful guest posts in addition to posts from me. I will also let you know where I am so you can go and visit the other blogs and have a look at their sites too.
